San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

If you are traveling by air, the SFO airport is located in South San Francisco. It is a 30min BART (metro) ride away from downtown San Francisco and a quick 10 minute drive to the hotel.

Best Western Plus Grosvenor Airport Hotel

This is where the bridal party, bride and groom will be staying. Please use the Zola Hotel Planner website to book your accommodation at a discounted rated. They include a free buffet breakfast, pool, gym, fridge, and parking is only $8/day (the cheapest parking you will find even at most hotels!). They include a free shuttle service to and from the airport. This takes under 10mins. You can easily take an Uber to the San Bruno BART station or over to Millbrae BART to get to downtown.

Travel Note

Negotiated rates for hotels in South San Francisco/San Francisco

This link provides some negotiated rates to lots of hotels in South San Francisco and San Francisco City. The prices are actually much cheaper compared to Booking.com or Hotels.com. We recommend staying close to the venue for ease, which is located in South San Francisco, or near the airport (for ease of travel). The further away from the city center the cheaper accommodations will be for those on a budget. If you can find something near the BART/Bus that is ideal as you can travel into the city much easier without a car.

House Or Rental

AirBnB

If you choose to stay in an AirBnB, we recommend looking for somewhere within walking distance to several restaurants and markets for convenience. Please be sure to check if the accommodation includes free private parking or street parking. We also recommend you stay near a BART for ease of traveling into the city unless Uber is your jam for the weekend.

Travel Note

Transportation to the City/Venue

Guests will need to coordinate their own transportation to and from the hotel, ceremony site and to the reception. If you plan to drive, parking is available on site at St. Dominic's in the back lot and on the side street. Free parking is also available at Dominic's at Oyster Point for the reception. However, cars cannot be left at the venue site overnight. So, plan ahead if you intend to drink. Lyft, Uber, or Taxi service can be used for transportation to the venue site. A Lyft or Uber will range in prices depending on the time of day. Plan accordingly on what works best for you. Just in case, be prepared to wear a mask if they are still be required in Lyft, Uber, or taxis.

Travel Note

General Safety

For your safety please avoid visiting the Tenderloin in downtown San Francisco. This is a highly impoverished/homeless area and it would be best to completely avoid it for your safety. Please do not leave any valuables in your car. If it can be seen from the window there could be cause for someone to break-in and check it out. Please keep valuables out of sight or in the trunk of the car. Be sure to travel with a couple masks on hand. They must be worn in all modes of public transportation and some businesses may still be enforcing them. Please come prepared.
