Where should I stay close to the wedding venue?

Answer

Our “venue” is located on the harbor, so anywhere in Destin is fine. Lots of hotels and condos within a 5 minute drive.

What should I wear!

Answer

You know us, we’re not fancy people….but since the event is on a boat please wear boat appropriate soft shoes!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

5:30 arrival time for a 6pm departure from the dock.

Is parking available?

Answer

There is paid parking in the front and back lots. Follow the signs to scan the QR code and pay for parking. It’s about $12 for 4 hours. Uber and Lyft are also great options since we are serving alcohol!

What if it rains?

In case of rain, we will have the ceremony at Village Baptist Church 101 Matthew Blvd at 6:30pm(instead of 5:30) The reception will still be held at The American Legion Destin Post 296 ballroom 311 Main Street. Parking and Entrance for our event is at the BACK of the BUILDING.

What can I give as a gift?

Answer

We need nothing! We simply want you to share in our blissfully happy day! If you absolutely must give something, you can donate to the Aimee Weldon Educational Fund that Phil has set up at Village Baptist Church. He provides scholarship funding each spring to a deserving applicant/applicants in Aimee’s name. Give by sending a check to Village Baptist Church 101 Matthew Blvd. Destin, FL 32541 Attach a note to designate for Aimee’s Fund.
