Xequille and Phallen met in 2016 at Weber State University. Phallen had earned a spot on the track team as a walk on, and Xequille’s football coaches forced him to run track after spring ball, which ended up working out in his favor, because he got to meet Phallen. By the time Xequille started running with the team, there were only 3 track meets left in the season, so their time was short. Throughout the 3 track meets, they didn’t really talk much at the beginning, but were definitely fond of one another. It wasn’t until the last trip of the season when they really started to talk. Once the season and school year came to an end, Phallen made her way back home to Vegas, and Xequille stayed in Utah, but he promised that he’d come to Vegas to visit her. Well, he kept true to that promise and visited Phallen one month later. When they met up in Vegas, Phallen and Xequille enjoyed a day on the strip together building memories that would last forever. The next time they were able to spend time together was exactly one month later on July 9th when Xequille came back to Vegas, and finally asked her to be his girlfriend. Over the next 6 years they maintained a long distance relationship where they would talk daily, FaceTime constantly, and always tried to plan for the next time they would be able to see each other. Little did they know that after all the 6 hour drives, 55 minute flights, and 8 hour bus rides, God would finally bring them together with each other forever.
