Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP for yourself, along with any guests also listed on the invitation by May 13th, 2024.

Question

Is there a shuttle service to and from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! The shuttle will depart from My Place Hotel in North Aurora at approximately 4:45 p.m.. The shuttle will make two return trips to the hotel and approximately 10:30 p.m. at 11:30 p.m.

Can I leave my car at the venue overnight?

Answer

Yes! When you come in you must check you car in with the front desk. Cars can stay in the parking lot until 10 a.m. Sunday, July 14th.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will be outdoors. Reception will be indoors.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?

Answer

Yes! We have a limited amount of rooms blocked off at My Place Hotel in North Aurora. Please call and let them know you are booking with the "Ford Wedding". If no more rooms are available, there are plenty of other hotels in the area. Another nearby hotel our venue recommend is Hampton Inn and Suites in Aurora. Please take note only My Place will have a shuttle to and from the ceremony. Links to the hotels websites and phone numbers can be found on the TRAVEL tab on our website.

What is the dress code?

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue size, please only bring a plus one if your invitation indicates you have one. The venue will turn away any guests who arrive that are not on the guest list.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space/age restrictions it will be an adults-only wedding.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes. The open bar will include a variety of domestic beer, wine, and spirits. No shots/neat drinks are permitted. A champagne toast and wine will be served throughout dinner.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you will be attending our ceremony please be at the venue and seated by 5:15 p.m. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. and guests will not be allowed in after the ceremony begins. The ceremony will end at approximately 6 p.m. and cocktail hour will follow immediately after.

Am I allowed to take photos at the ceremony?

Answer

We would like to have an "unplugged ceremony". We ask that everyone turns their phones off and puts them away. We will have photographers and a videographer throughout the whole day. We promise we will upload photos and videos for everyone to download after! After the ceremony feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you want!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions and/or allergies?

Answer

Yes! We will have a vegetarian entree option and the chefs at the venue will accommodate for those with allergies. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies please let us know when you RSVP.
