Always. “Always” is the word that comes to mind when thinking of Jenna and Harrison. Two young teenagers, at the ages of 15 and 16, created their own definition of “love”, together, and fell head over heels into it. Two best friends that laid the foundation of their relationship on laughs, flirtatious glances across the classroom, and a rare for most, but common for each other, understanding of one another’s competitive nature. Through the years, Jenna and Harrison graduated from “High School Sweethearts” to young adults all through which they’ve experienced success, failure, celebration, risk, surprise, sadness, joy, and growth. It seems impossible to summarize their story... The love they share is immeasurable, unwavering, and at times, indescribable. What can be understood is that loving someone, “always”, can evolve, beautifully, if you’re lucky, into loving someone, “forever”. It was never a doubt that Jenna and Harrison share a forever kind of love and they are overjoyed to make that commitment to each other with their closest family and friends.
Jenna has loved NYC since her parents took her, for the first time, in 2012. Something about the fast-paced, buzz of a city excites her, fascinates her, and feels like home. Harrison, could not be more different. He enjoys the slow place of the country side and the natural beauty of nature. Jenna, begged Harrison for months to take her to New York for her 22nd birthday, exactly 6 years after they celebrated her 16th birthday, there, with Jenna’s parents. If there’s one thing about Harrison… he will do anything, and I mean, anything, to make Jenna happy. So of course, he helps Jenna set up the birthday trip of her dreams. They arrive in NYC on March 26th, 2024, check in to their hotel, and Harrison has a few birthday surprises up his sleeve. He explains to Jenna that he has arranged a photoshoot in Central Park, since she is always begging for professional photos of them, and that on their second night of the stay, they were moving to a penthouse on the East Side. While shocked and excited, secretively, Jenna was a little suspicious, as people had been asking for months when Harrison was going to “pop the question”. The next day, they walked all over the city, visiting the Statue of Liberty, eating yummy food, and enjoying her favorite shops. Eventually, they returned to their hotel to freshen up and set out on their way to Central Park. In the midst of taking photos, just under Gapstow Bridge with the beautiful NYC skyline in the background, Jenna was asked to step forward for a “solo shot”. After taking some photos, she turns around to one of the most exciting moments of her life. There Harrison waits, down on one knee, asking Jenna to marry him, with the most stunning engagement ring Jenna had ever seen, and of course, she says, “yes!!!!”. After a long embrace, trying their hardest to take every bit of this magical moment in, Jenna immediately wants to call her parents, which is not surprising to Harrison in the slightest, to share the news. They spent hours calling their closest family and friends, and finished the night at a beautiful restaurant sharing stories and reminiscing on their favorite moments together of the past 6.5 years. Jenna couldn’t have drawn it up any better and she felt extremely lucky to have someone as special as Harrison, who knows her better than anyone else, to plan her dream engagement so thoughtfully and beautifully.
