How did we meet?

We met the old fashioned way...... Online!

It was a brisk February evening, I was walking downtown looking for something trendy to get into when Bam! I get hit in the back by a rather hot coffee. I turn around and it was just like the movies. The world turned into slow motion, I see this beautiful, rather short girl, looking up at me and we instantly connected. We spent the rest of that evening on a bench in the park discussing our future... Okay, for the real story Peter's Perspective: We both were at a point in our lives where we had given up on the idea of a soulmate. When in reality we were both out there, but just hadn't met yet. When I say that we instantly clicked it's an extreme understatement. We spent hours on end talking on the phone discussing the ins and outs of everything under the sun. We finally decided to meet up and had brunch in Turlock. The minute she walked around the corner, and over to my truck, I knew I was in for it. On my way home from that date I called Weezie and told her I had found the one. It was like nothing I had ever felt before. It was excitement, nerves, scared to death, but all of these emotions made me feel like I was on top of the world. I had just had brunch with the rest of my life. One week later we made it official and not six months after that I was on one knee in the sands of Tahoe asking her to be my wife. I thought I knew what love was, but clearly I didn't. I couldn't imagine spending one more day, not one more minute, not even one more second without her by my side. This girl, every day, makes me want to be a better man, a better husband, and eventually a better father. Kassidy's Perspective: After a few rounds of unsuccessful online dates I had all but given up and accepted my fate of adopting 12 dogs and taking up basket weaving. In a conversation with a friend and me complaining about how TERRIBLE dating apps were, and that men were the worst, we did what any sane person would do...I created a Bumble account for the fun of it of course! Who would have thought God would use what I did as a joke to help me meet the man I get to marry! Now it depends who you ask when wondering who swiped right first...(it was him, but don't tell Peter), but we'll just skip that part. We match and it's the girl's job to message first on Bumble. I craft the perfect message and with butterflies in my stomach I hit send. Like expected, he was enamored with my wit, humor and sass, that with just a few back and forth messages he wants to chat on the phone. I oblige and from the first phone call I knew I was in trouble in the best way possible. We continue to talk hours upon end every night until we are finally able to meet. He drives down from Sacramento to Turlock, calls me to let me know he was there, and due to my apartment being a cave his call didn't go through. He thinks I'm standing him up, he starts to talk himself out of this, and gets ready to turn back home. This is that moment in a Hallmark movie when there's a misunderstanding and the relationship is hanging on by a thread! Don't worry I won't leave you hanging for the last 15 minutes of the movie... His voicemail comes through, we meet, and the rest is history! Two dates in we decide this is the real deal and we make it official in the most romantic spot you can think of. A Carl's Jr. parking lot of course! And that's how you all ended up here! Somewhere along the way you have touched our lives and we want to share one of our happiest days with you!
