Gustavo

Man of Honor

I have known Gustavo since Kindergarten and we have been good friends since middle school. Gustavo has been a dependable friend over the years. I can count on him for advice, and he is a friend I can share my worries, concerns and frustrations with. He is honest, and I trust his mechanical advice and intuition with my cars. He is also spontaneous and is always interested in getting together and trying new things. But most importantly, Gustavo has been a very supportive friend. Gustavo is married to his wife, Paola, and they have a cute baby boy, Metztli. Gustavo is a jack of all trades and works for a private Christian school in Cornelius, Oregon as a facilities manager.

Greg

Best Man

Greg and Dan met during their time together at Oregon State, where they were randomly assigned to be "big/little bros" in their fraternity. They quickly became great buddies, playing on their intramural basketball team, the "Sigma PI-rates", traveling to Palm Springs and Disneyland on Spring Break, and testing out new dance moves at the Peacock in Corvallis. Several years ago Greg married his wonderful wife, Ali, and so Greg has been advising Dan throughout the wedding planning process, from finding the perfect ring to picking a great photographer. Ali and Greg reside in the Portland area, and recently welcomed a baby girl into their family.

Breanna

Bridesmaid

I have known Breanna since middle school. We bonded over music, movies, volleyball, and boys in a language arts class. Breanna is a friend who loves to make people laugh through the movies and TV shows she can quote at a drop of a hat and timing them for the perfect moment in a conversation. I have always been able to count on her spunky, funny personality to brighten any day. Breanna is married to her husband, Preston, and they have two adorable, sweet girls: Ivy and Evelyn. Breanna is a full time mom and also a caregiver in Bend, Oregon.

Matt

Groomsman

Almost thirty years ago, Dan's parents Lisa and Ed came home and introduced him to his new little brother, and now oldest buddy, Matt. Together they have shared many major milestones: attending the same schools, playing the same sports, joining the same fraternity, and exploring new trails with their dogs. They have constantly learned from each other, with Dan sharing the insights he has gained through his three additional years of experience, and Matt lending his unique insight and new perspectives on everything from the history of economics to the merits of being a NY Giants supporter. Matt is pursuing a Master of Economics degree at the highly ranked program at the University of Maryland.

Maddie

Bridesmaid

I have known Maddie since the first week of my freshman year of college. She was my across the hall neighbor in the dorms at Oregon State University. Maddie and I later lived together in a house we called “The Lemon Bar” along with 3 other girls during our junior and senior year of college. Maddie has been a great friend ever since college. She is a supportive and a dependable friend through any of life's challenges, is an inspiration, has great music taste and a voice to match, and is a dessert connoisseur. Maddie is married to her husband, Christopher, who she lovingly calls Topher. Maddie recently finished her masters in Public Health at the University of Washington. Maddie currently works as a researcher for Washington’s largest labor union.

Mahbodd

Groomsman

Mahbodd and Dan met when Greg became Mahbodd's "big bro" in their fraternity, making him Dan's "grand little bro". Mild mannered, easy going, and friendly, Mahbodd is typically the voice of reason in his and Dan's friend group; the type of buddy everyone can count on. Several years ago Mahbodd married his high school sweetheart, Nikki (also a Beaver!), in which Dan was an usher for the ceremony, and the two of them recently welcomed a baby girl into their family.

Jordan

Bridesmaid

I met Jordan in 2009 through Oregon State’s roommate finding website. We matched almost 100%! We had an amazing freshman year at Oregon State University living in what was known as the “Nunnery”: a women’s only wing in the McNary dorms. We also trained together at OSU and UofO for the Camp Adventure program: a program that trained college students to be camp counselors working with military families around the world. In 2016, we took a 2 week long trip traveling the UK and Ireland; there I discovered my love for the Scottish Highlands. Jordan is a fun, quirky, down to earth friend. I have cherished her friendship during the college years and post college. Jordan is married to her husband, Max. Jordan works at the Newberg High school in Oregon as a college and career center coordinator.

Nick

Groomsman

Nick: the man, the myth, the legend. Dan and Nick have had too many adventures to list, starting with rushing the same fraternity, to Shasta weekend at Oregon State, to being roommates several times, to epic road trips and weekends at the beach. It was only fitting that Nick stand by Dan as a groomsman as he begins his next great adventure with Maggie. Nick recently moved to California to begin a new job and to be closer to his girlfriend, Gabby, who is currently attending grad school there.

Morgan

Bridesmaid

I met Morgan my junior year of college at Oregon State University. We trained together for Camp Adventure and later she became my 10 week summer long roommate in Vicenza, Italy. Through that wonderful experience, we traveled Italy, went to Switzerland to partake in canyoning, sang the “Hills are Alive” in Austria for the Sound of Music tour and ate so much gelato. A year later we spent a weekend together in Prague, Czech Republic. Morgan was a great roommate and she has been an inspiring, loyal friend. She is organized, does her research on fun adventures and activities, and gives the best book references. Morgan recently married her husband, Pranav. Morgan works and lives in Raleigh, North Carolina as a high school teacher, teaching freshman honors, world history, and ELL world history.

Andrew

Groomsman and Officiant

Andrew, better known as "Drew", and Dan became buddies when Andrew transferred to Dan's grade school. Together they put countless miles on their bikes, played grade school basketball, built awesome school projects (including a "sub-sonic" hot dog cooker and trebuchet for "serving candy"), and even roomed together in the dorms during freshman year at Oregon State. Today, Andrew is Dan's go to contact for "cat dad" advice. Andrew is married to his high school sweetheart, Amanda, and together they have two sons.

Kelsey

Bridesmaid

I have known Kelsey since my last year of college at Oregon State University. We were in the same elementary teaching cohort. We took teaching classes together and wrote parts of our teaching work samples over wine. The years that followed since graduating college and starting our careers in education, we have explored the outdoors, gone on berry picking adventures, participated in a book club of mostly teachers and shared teaching stories, both good and bad. Kelsey is a fun and creative friend. She has been supportive through all the teaching challenges and inspiring in the outdoor adventures that she takes with her husband, Peter. Kelsey works in Hillsboro, Oregon as a 2nd grade dual language teacher.

Caleb

Groomsman

Caleb and Dan met playing baseball together as kids, and eventually Caleb transferred to Dan's grade school where they became even better buddies. Together they spent hours on video games, bike rides, laser tag, and go-carts. Dan has always been able to count on Caleb, especially when they teamed up to defeat the final boss in the LOTR video game in grade school. Caleb lives in the Salem area with his two daughters and awesome wife, Olivia.
