Do you have any hotel recommendations?

We have reserved a block of rooms at The Hampton Inn in McHenry. Check out the Travel section for a link to book your room.

Will there be a shuttle from and to the hotel?
Answer
Yes, we have arranged a shuttle to bring guests from the Hampton Inn to The Shores of Turtle Creek and back to the Hampton Inn. Please see the Travel section for more information on times for the shuttle.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive from 5:00 pm to be seated for the ceremony to begin at 5:30 pm.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
Answer
There is plenty of free parking available at our venue.

Will the ceremony be held indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be held outside, weather permitting. In the event of a light rain, the ceremony will be held in a covered patio. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Can I take photographs during the ceremony?
Answer
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate you understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.

When will we eat?
Answer
Light snack will be available during the cocktail hour. Dinner will be served around 7:15 pm.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?
Answer
We will be serving Brisket and Pulled Pork with Mac and Cheese and Baked Beans.

What if I have a dietary requirement?
Answer
Please include your specific dietary requirement in your RSVP. We will reach out to you to ensure that you have a delicious meal that meets your dietary needs.

Will you be serving alcohol?
Answer
We will have an Open Beer, Wine and Soda Bar during our Cocktail Hour and for 3 hours after dinner. Other Liquors and mixed drinks will be available to purchase.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Answer
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 1717 W. Oakleaf Drive, McHenry, IL 60051. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

What time should I go home?
Answer
Our reception will end at midnight. If you are taking the shuttle back to the hotel there will be an 11:30 pm and 12:30 am shuttle.
