Hello everyone, We have decided to switch things up a bit! At the start of wedding planning, we talked about getting married in Arizona but Lexi wanted a big wedding and Ryley wanted to be married in the mountains, the combination just didn't seem possible to us. So we planned the big wedding here (WI). Along the way things started to get stressful and we started to forget what this was truly all about, us! One day after a stressful conversation about vendors and the ceremony site etc, Lexi texted Ryley saying “ I kind of have a crazy idea..” As lexi was typing the rest of it “we could get married in Arizona”, before she could even send it Ryley texted her saying “ We get married in Arizona?”. In that moment time stood still, when you both get an overwhelming, goosebumps on your arms, butterflies in your stomach feeling of “ this is what we want '' unprovoked, you have to follow your gut. Arizona holds a very special place in our hearts. As most of you know we went out to Arizona on our own new scary adventure Winter of 2023. First time either of us had truly left “home”. Living in a camper, the term “ home” turned into a very mobile feeling. We knew where we came from, where our family and friends were, but that sense of comfort had to travel far from that. We set off on our adventure with both dogs, relying on us and our trusty camper. To say we had some bumps along the way is an understatement but every bump came with more security and comfort because we were getting through it together. When we finally made it to Arizona we knew we had done it. We traveled so many miles away from home, yet still found that comfort within each other. Even after all the bumps, long stretches of road,and barking stir crazy dogs, we still managed to come out of it more thankful for the journey because we did it together. Arizona and our journey to and from truly encompasses what true love means to us. It's a long ride, it can be scary, there are going to be a lot of bumps, bickering and new challenges, but with patience, love, trust and comfort, the journey is unbelievably worth it. We truly fell deeper in love, with every new/scary adventure. So much so Ryley decided to make it official and propose at the base of our favorite mountain. We wish that we could bring all of you with us but unfortunately we cant. It will only be us, our parents and our bridal party.We are going to get legally married in Arizona, at the base of our favorite mountain. That being said, the party in Wisconsin will still go on as planned! We will be having our unity ceremony and vow reading, then formal reception to follow. We love you all so dearly, and we hope you know how much it means to us to be able to celebrate with you in October!
