Briana and Hunter met while they were both attending Florida Gulf Coast University. The couples first encounter was actually at one of Briana's sorority events at an ice skating rink. Hunter fell on the ice in front of Briana, but Briana just laughed and skated around him. The two didn't "officially" meet until about a year later when Briana's roommate at the time (and now bridesmaid), Jamie, was planning a 21st birthday party for one of their sorority sisters at their apartment. Briana hadn't originally planned on going but her friends convinced her, telling her that Hunter wanted to meet her. Briana and Hunter hit it off right away. At the end of the night, Hunter dropped his phone on the ground in front of Briana and when she picked up the phone it was on the "add contact" screen and the rest is history.

Briana and Hunter went to Greece for vacation to celebrate Briana graduating law school and taking the Florida Bar Exam. Hunter took this as the perfect opportunity to plan an epic proposal. The morning of the proposal Hunter told Briana he was going to go to the city center to grab coffee for the two of them, but Hunter was really searching for a smaller box to put the ring in so that he could carry it around during the day with out getting caught because the original box was to big. After getting the box and getting ready the two went to explore Santorini. Hunter kept telling Briana through out the day that he really wanted to go see this famous rock -- Castle Rock, so after lunch the two went out to find it. After a lot of walking and getting lost (which was actually Hunter stalling for the photographer to get into position), they made it to the "famous rock". Hunter climbed up onto the roof of the church for a "better view" and spent about 10 minutes convincing Briana to climb up too in the middle of a windstorm. Once they were both up on the roof Hunter pretended to take pictures of Briana and had her face away from him and look at the rock because it would make a really great picture. When Briana turned back around, Hunter was on his knee and popped the question.
