We're getting married!

Dear family and friends, Our intention was to send you an invite to our wedding at this time, but sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. On June 25th, Lauren had surgery to biopsy a lymph node in her neck, and from there doctors confirmed that she has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Stage II. No one wants cancer, but the doctors have said, if you have to get it, this is not a bad one - the treatment is agreed upon, and the cancer is often very treatable. Of course, Lauren is scared. However, she has an amazing support system, wonderful doctors, a very supportive job, and according to the doctors, “aside from the cancer, she’s very healthy.” She couldn’t be more ready to take whatever comes her way. We are ready to do whatever we possibly can to help Lauren beat this and be healthy and ready to share the rest of our lives together. This experience so far has only further solidified what we already knew: we are totally and completely in love, and we want to spend the rest of our lives together. The treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma involves approximately 6 months of chemotherapy. Together, we made the decision that when we celebrate our wedding with all of you, we both want to feel and be healthy. So we have decided to push back our reception to September 26, 2020, and we are planning to get married this year in a small, private ceremony. Thank you all for your continued love and support.
