Beth and Blake's story isn't your typical love story. The two didn't meet at work. Nor did they meet through a mutual friend. They met through a dating app. Facebook Dating. When Beth realized the social media site had added a dating feature she thought it was a complete joke. "When I first heard about it(Facebook dating) I was like 'Oh you got to be kidding!'" She then added "I joined just for giggles. I wasn't really expecting anything." Turns out neither the Bride or the Groom expected anything out of it. "I had pretty much given up on finding anyone." Blake told The Newly Wed Times. "Then I got a notification that I had a new like. I thought 'what the hell' and sent her(Beth) a message." Turn out that one like and that single message would spark something huge. One message turned to hundreds of back and forth messaging. Which eventually led to the two of them making the plan to meet in person. On March 30th, Beth made the drive from Denmark, Iowa to Milan, Illinois. "Of course I was worried and nervous. Who wouldn't be?" The blushing new Bride recalled that day. The two explored the Illinois side of the Quad Cities. Enoying a little visit by the river, but majority of the time was spent at QC Family Entertainment Center where they got to know each other over a few arcades and bowling. "I learned alot about her that day." The Happy New Groom did his own looking back on that day. "The guy at the bowling alley asked for her shoe size. All I could do was look at her and go 'SIZE 12?!" The two saw something in each other larger than the bride's shoe size. The following day they solidified things "I was like 'soooo...does this mean we're offical?" Beth admitted with a laugh. "Call me eager, but I knew something was there and I didn't want to risk letting that slip through the cracks." Something was there. The two began to see each other more and more. Traveling back and forth from Southeastern Iowa to the Quad Cities. It was only a matter of months before the two began talking about moving in together. "I was nervous but ready. I didn't really have any tie downs back home besides my family, so I decided to give it a try. I love her(Beth) so much and wanted to be with her(Beth). So I took a leap of faith." The couple toured only three houses before finding their home. "It was exciting but also very scary. Things were moving fast, but I was okay with that. My parents are living proof that time doesn't mean anything. I knew I loved him(Blake) and that I would follow this man(Blake) to the ends of the Earth." The Bride remarked. The two finalized on their home in August of 2021. They immediately moved in. The couple were only together a little less than a year when they got engaged. "He(Blake) never really asked me, and I never really asked him(Blake). Just one day we woke up and decided we wanted to get married." Beth said. "In a way I've known from day one that he(Blake) was my forever. He(Blake) restored faith in me in many ways. He(Blake) is my rock. We laugh together, we cry together, and we'll always have each other's back." The two will be together for three years on the 31st of March. When asked what his thoughts were on the last few years, Blake had this to say. "Two words: Worth it."
