It started way back in 2004 on the middle school bus. That's where Paulina and Ryan met. At that time, they were just two kids in the same place, at the same time, without a clue. Yeah, Ryan thought she was cute, but he wouldn't make a move for a long time to come. The kid was only eleven...give him a break. Time went on. They went to high school and became friends. But still, they were just friends. He was the captain of the football team, she the captain of the cheerleading team. A teen movie match made in heaven, but they were too stupid to notice. They then went off to college. Ryan was at Alfred University, while Paulina at Fredonia State. They weren't "dating," but their parents did find it curious that Paulina would come to Alfred for Ryan's football games so often. Finally, the summer before their second year of college, Ryan smartened up. It was the day before he was to leave for school. Paulina and Ryan spent the day in Niagara Falls, enjoying all that it has to offer. They were sitting on a bench taking in the sights of the falls, and that is exactly when Ryan didn't ask Paulina to be his girlfriend. Instead, they drove home and before Paulina got out of the car Ryan said "so you wana make this official?" As poor of a performance that it was, she said yes. They then spent the next seven years as boyfriend and girlfriend. Yeah, you don't have to go back and check that, I said seven years. Along the way, Paulina graduated from nursing school and Ryan from law school. It was likely school that kept Ryan from making the next move. But in 2017 they both graduated, and there was nothing holding him back. He made the best decision of his life and took the plunge. He likes to think he did a better job this time than he did with his "dating proposal." And again, Paulina said yes.
