Lindsey and Paul met at a BBQ hosted by their mutual friends, Stephanie and Trevor (The Strevor's). It was one of those chance encounters that you never forget. Paul had left the BBQ early to catch a Rockies game with his friend Tony, but when Paul received word that Lindsey thought he was cute, he knew he had to head back and see her immediately. It was the best decision that Paul and Lindsey have ever made. They hit it off from the moment they met and have been inseparable ever since. They are so grateful to Stephanie, Trevor, and Tony for introducing them. Four weeks later they boarded a plane to L.A. to see Paul's idol - Sir Paul McCartney. The rest, as they say, is history.
Paul wanted to completely surprise Lindsey, so he planned a special day at the Botanic Gardens and Cheesman Park which is right next to where they live. They visit the Gardens often, so it seemed like a normal occurrence. But on a beautiful Saturday in October, Paul had a surprise waiting for her. After walking through the Botanic Gardens, they were near the rose garden at Cheesman Park and Lindsey asked Paul to pick a rose for her. *Paul was SHAKING* That's when he got down on one knee and said, "I could do you one better, will you marry me?" She was completely caught off guard and in shock as their friends were hiding eagerly in the bushes ready to capture the special moment on film. To top it off, Paul had another surprise waiting for her at their condo, where their other loved ones were waiting to celebrate the day with them. It was a day they will never forget and often reminisce about when they take their daily walks around Cheesman Park.
Lindsey and Paul currently reside in a condo they purchased near Cheesman Park, where they have lived for the past 3 years. One of the most recent highlights in their lives has been introducing their long-haired dachshund, Winnie, to their home. She loves going to the park, taking naps, receiving belly rubs, and getting non-stop attention, which Lindsey and Paul are more than happy to give her. Recently, they took a 4,300-mile road trip to Florida to visit Lindsey's family for Christmas and it was a marvelous experience. They both cherish their jobs and are looking forward to saving for their future together. They are blessed to have each other and can't wait to start their forever together as husband and wife.
