Hello all, I have been given the honor to write the story of how Christina and I met and well I guess there is no better place to start than the beginning. It all started at work in the ER, her first day on the job I could tell she was nervous. So me being me I decided to lighten her up with some comedic genius "Hey, your shoe is untied". Well that was met with a harsh sigh and rolling of the eyes, and that's when I knew she was going to be one tough cookie. For the first few weeks we did not have much interaction with one another, she was going through training and I was going through the regular motions of work. She then began working in the same area as me. Well on the slow days our nurse would leave the room and that would give us time to talk about life, I don't really open up to people about my problems but for some reason it was different with Christina. I felt like I could talk to her about all the problems with the world and she would just listen. I felt a weight being lifted off my chest with every passing shift till there was nothing left. I found myself going out of my way to talk to her or check in with her on the days we did not work together, and would work in overdrive when she was not feeling well so she could have an easy day. Every shift that passed I found myself falling for this woman, only problem was she was in a relationship. I asked my friend Branko for some advice and these are words I will never forget. "Shes not married, there is no ring on her finger, a boyfriend is just a speed bump not a roadblock." We went on a few friend dates with one another I even met her parents and sister. Then one day I walked into triage and rubbed her back and asked "do you feel loved, cherished?" Well to wrap up our story, her relationship ended and here we are getting married 3 years later in the same month this wonderful relationship started.
