One of Mike's fondest childhood memories was when he and his brother Chris led a second half comeback victory to win their middle school rec league basketball championship together. Chris would go on to play high school varsity basketball, but it turns out Mike was only good because at the time, he was almost a foot taller than most of the middle schoolers. Chris lives in Castle Rock, CO.

There's a certain pizza place in Blue Springs, MO where the owners leave the beer cooler unlocked out behind the restaurant. We're not saying Chris or Patrick took advantage of this, but we're not not saying it, either. Chris has been Patrick's partner in crime since early high school. He is now a resident at Truman Medical Center where he and Mike sometimes cross paths in the ER. Chris and his fiancé, Maggie, live in Kansas City.

When they were growing up, Mike's sister Amy once tied him to a chair using her karate belts. She then left him in a closet where Mike happily stayed thinking it was a game. She eventually let Mike come out of the closet, a trend in his life that has allowed this wedding to exist. Amy lives just outside of Houston with her four children (Shawn, Jessica, Sophia, & Anastasia) and husband Ray.

Patrick and his older sister share a love for adopted cats. One time they dressed their fur babies Perry and Todd in Christmas clothing to have a professional photo shoot. If anyone knows a good feline therapist, Perry has been cranky ever since. Kerri lives in Kansas City with her husband, Mark, and daughter Rainey (who is also our flower girl!)!

Best friends since the sixth grade, Katie's initial impression of Mike was that he must be in special education. Together they share a love of Law and Order SVU marathons (DUN DUN!), Broadway musicals and inappropriate humor. Katie lives with her husband Matt in New York City with their two daughters, Fallon and Skyler.
Grace Hunt

Patrick and Grace have been friends since their freshman year of high school. During their first year of college at Mizzou, Patrick was a pledge of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity which he eventually joined. When he needed to hide from the brothers during pledgeship, Patrick would hide in Grace's dorm room and sleep on her little pink couch. Grace now lives in San Francisco, CA.
Trevor Stovall

Mike and Trevor first met on night shifts in the Emergency Department at UCLA. While on vacation together in Vancouver, Mike use his physical exam skills to diagnose Trevor with appendicitis, which ultimately extended Trevor's stay with our neighbors to the North another two weeks. Trevor explores the US as a travel nurse but is based in Houston. He's currently residing in Sacrameto, CA.

Have you ever met someone you instinctively did not like? For some reason, Patrick and Zach initially were indifferent toward one another. Then one magical night, they bonded over Kiesza's song 'Hideaway,' and from then on were best Judies. Zach and his partner, Jon, live only a few blocks over from us in Kansas City.
