After meeting at Leggetts through mutual friends (thanks Kemps) Pat and Kelly spent their first two years of knowing each other as friends. Everything changed in the summer of 2018. Pat was working at leggetts and Kelly was frequently spending her weekends there with friends. Kelly spent the first month of summer shamelessly flirting with Pat while he was working. Finally one night in June she got sick of waiting for him to make a move and said, “Pat I’m wearing a crop top. Are you ever going to kiss me?” And Pat did exactly that! So thanks to a crop top and Leggetts we’re getting married!

Easter weekend was the perfect weekend to get engaged, and that’s exactly what both Pat and Kelly were thinking. However, Kelly thought it was happening on Friday so you can imagine the disappointment she felt when Friday came and went with no proposal. Pat however, was thrilled, because on Saturday, she didn’t see it coming. Saturday morning, Pat asked Kelly if she wanted to go for a walk in Divine Park in Spring Lake, which they did almost every weekend. Halfway around the park Pat led Kelly down by the water and surprised her by getting down on one knee! After some tears and asking if he was sure, Kelly said “of course”! They spent the rest of the day celebrating with friends and family at Leggetts!
