We’re getting married!

We met on Tinder and spent an evening over a movie and dinner. We talked for hours and there was an instant connection. We quickly became inseparable. That’s pretty much when we thought, "Okay. This could be something."

On an afternoon in February, Patrick wanted to take me on a date before he deployed. He took me to Mellow Mushroom, and to a Nature Preserve I’d been dying to go to. Once there, we were walking along the trail until we walked out onto the reeds at the waters edge at a beautiful colorful sunset. As I stood taking in the view, Patrick dropped to his knees and nudged me. When I turned around and gasped, he said “Daniela Victoria Escalante, will you marry me?” I was speechless for the first time in my life but choked out a yes along with happy tears and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Hawaii!
