Best Man
Jake and Pat met in 2003 when the Shafers moved to Dominic Street. Though Jake is six years younger than Pat, they quickly became each other's "adopted" brother, or "Brother Ladies," as they refer to it. Through their mutual loves of hockey, racing, baseball, and American Dad, they continue to be among each other's best friends.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Laura met when they were 11 and through many sleep overs, a ton of inside jokes ("Do you want any cheese? No? That's good, because your sister took it all!"), and multiple five hour phone calls, they've developed a bond that will last a lifetime.
Groomsman
Pat and Borland (don't call him by his government name, that sounds weird) became friends through Jake nearly ten years ago, and they quickly became an inseparable trio, usually referring to themselves as Seal Team Stupid, or the leaders of the Dipshit Brigade. While Borland's move to North Carolina may have separated them physically, they remain close and supportive of each other despite the distance.
Bridesmaid
Although Caitlin and Stephanie only worked together for a few months, they immediately bonded over their love for theater and have gone to too many shows together (with their friend Kasia) to count. Now their friendship still consists of broadway, but also introducing each other to main stream pop culture like Twilight and Taylor Swift while ordering Take Out.
Groomsman
Tim and Pat have been friends since the early days of elementary school, and time has only strengthened that bond. From working together on history projects in fifth grade, to breaking the curve on the final project in Mrs. Richardson's Participation in Government class, to many nights spent at The Shed, Tim and Pat have been through everything together.
Bridesmaid
All good stories start with band camp, and that's where Whitney and Stephanie met. They both went to Mansfield University and share a love for all things music, Harry Potter, beach vibes.
Groomswoman
Just like her brother Jake, after the move to Dominic Street, Nicole quickly became another unofficial Shafer kid. Through over 20 years of insane stories (complete with props and objects standing in for people), nights at the race track and hockey rink, to texting each other back and forth watching grainy Taylor Swift livestreams this summer, Nicole and Pat have never wavered in their care for one another, as she is one of the first ones he turns to in moments of crisis, and also one of the first to hear when something good happens.
Bridesmaid
Who knew a random roommate pairing in college would lead to such an amazing friendship? Through always rearranging our room, our 3am photoshoots ("hey are sleeping? No? Okay, do you want to take pictures?"), and driving to Dunkin' even though they closed the school for a snowstorm, our friendship has been set in stone.
Groomswoman/Sister of the Groom
Despite a lot of run of the mill squabbles as they grew up, once they both reached adulthood, Pat and Kaela began to grow much closer, especially once Kaela became a hockey fan, and they bonded over their shared love of the Carolina Hurricanes, attending many games together. The night before his first date with Stephanie, Kaela, along with Nicole, helped Pat pick out what he wanted to wear to do his best to impress her.
Officiant/Brother of the Groom
Despite the six year age difference, there can be very little doubt that Pat and Mac are cut from the same cloth, as there probably isn't a better explanation for the offbeat sense of humor they share. From the bizarre TikToks they love to send to each other, to the random nonsense they'll say when they see each in the middle of the night at their parents house, Mac has always been one of the funniest people Pat knows, and when they were trying to think of who they wanted to officiate, Mac was the first, and basically only, person Pat and Steph wanted for the job.
