In these uncertain times, we hope you will join us on our special day. Due to the recent pandemic we have updated our plans and moved up our wedding date. We are planning a small intimate celebration and inviting our guests to join us virtually via Zoom--a video conferencing platform. Our hope is to throw a big party to celebrate in person with all our friends and family next year when traveling is safer. Please be sure to RSVP for the link to the live stream! Here is our story... As fitness minded people we participated in a Reddit fitness challenge online. In one iteration of the challenge, we were placed on the same team and that is where it all started! Justin, a handsome cross fitting Maryland stud and Samantha, a long distance running California beauty. We connected online with matching enthusiasm for fitness and our strange sense of humor and wit. In the Summer of 2017, a few team members (including Samantha) decided to crash a work event for Justin in Las Vegas. When we finally met in person there was an instant attraction. We had our first kiss overlooking the Las Vegas strip from the 23rd floor Skybar in the Mandarin Oriental. The next year was spent traveling back and forth between California and Maryland to see each other. Each airport drop off was heart wrenching, except one--when Justin first said "I love you" at the Sacramento airport before leaving for his flight back to Maryland. Finally, the distance was just too much and Justin made the move out to California in 2018. There Samantha, Justin, and of course Liam, settled in as a happy little family and enjoyed all the little everyday things together as well as big and fun adventures. In December of 2019, Samantha and Justin went on an 8 mile hike near Lake Oroville. At the midway point was a magnificent 410 foot tall Feather Falls waterfall. It was there that Justin got down on one knee and asked Samantha to marry him. And of course, she said yes!
