I highly highly recommend booking with southwest. Baggage fees can really add up traveling back and forth but with southwest your first 2 bags fly free. If possible the less layovers the better, less chances of any issues or delays.

Shuttle

Here is a link to book a shuttle from the airport that can drop you to a hotel. If you choose to get an Uber from the airport there can be extra fees and it can be costly. I do recommend to plan ahead and have it booked!
