Where’s Mérida?

Answer

Mérida is a city in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Where can I stay?

Answer

In the travels section you can find different hotel options and you can also stay in an Airbnb.

where do you recommend me to fly to?

Answer

There are 2 different options for your flights. You can either fly to Mérida, or you can fly to Cancun. There are benefits to both. Cancun will be a less expensive flight but then requires a rental car to drive the 3.5 hours to Mérida. The flight to Mérida will typically have a stop in Houston or Miami on your way

What kind of things I can do in Mérida?

There’s a section on the website it called “travel” where you can find recommendations for things to do in Mérida.

Is there Uber or Lyft in Mérida?

Answer

Yes, Uber is available in Mérida, at this time Lyft is not available. We recommend you to download the Uber app for an easy way to get around the city.

A what time is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is on Saturday March 14th from 7:30- 8:30 pm.

What kind of clothes I should bring?

Answer

Mérida it’s a tropical city where winter doesn’t exist, so bring your summer clothes and don’t forget your swim suit if you’re planning to go to the beach. The average high/low temperature in March is 94/67 respectively.

What typical food does Mérida have?

Answer

Yucatán (the state of Mérida) has some of the best cousine in Mexico where they eat a lot of seafood, pork and turkey. You should go to local restaurants to try the traditional food. Ask me for places to eat if you’re interested.

Do the people speak English?

Answer

Most of the people do not speak English but they try hard to communicate, so if you know some Spanish or would like to learn this is your chance to improve your Spanish.

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

The reception will begin at 8pm on Saturday March 14th.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. We would like women to wear a long dress and men wear suits.

Do you have registry ? Where?

Answer

Yes we do, in the “registry” section in the website you can find it.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

You have until the end of October to confirm your attendance.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes you can. In the “schedule” section on the “reception” part you can decide which kind of meal you want and to mention if you have some food allergies.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes there is, so if you’re driving you don’t have to worry about that. Taking an Uber is another option.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No we do not have a shuttle and most likely will not be available at the hotels.

How’s the weather in Merida in March?

Answer

The weather normally in that month is around 30/35 Celsius degrees (86/95 F) during the day and the minimum at night is around 23-25 C (78 F)
