The first time we met was in 2004 at recreation camp the summer Nick moved to Holmdel. Fast forward to 2016, Nicole was attending college in North Carolina and Nick was working full-time in Newark. We were both at a friends house the night before Nicole was headed back to school and from there became good friends. In June of 2016, Nick asked Nicole to be his girlfriend and as the old saying goes, the rest was history.

Learning early on food was the key to Nicole's heart, Nick took her to dinner an Italian restaurant named Villa Barone. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and of course had to have ice cream before heading home.

Although the pandemic threw a wrench in Nick's plans to propose to Nicole, he pulled off the perfect surprise. We went to visit Nick's family in Georgia and planned a day trip to visit Savannah. While we were on a horse and carriage ride around the city, we stopped outside of the beautiful squares and Nick got down on one knee asking Nicole to marry him.
