RSVPs are due by September 1st, 2018. Please make sure you RSVP online via this website for both the Welcome Drinks and the Ceremony & Reception.
We recommend arriving no later than Thursday, November 29th. This will give you time to adjust to the time difference and hopefully make it to the Welcome Event!
Please refer to the Accommodations page. We recommend four hotels, as well as Airbnb and VRBO. The map shows more specific locations so you have a better gauge of neighborhoods and the distances in between.
We will be staying at AlmaLusa Baixa/Chiado.
Please refer to the Things To Do page. We recommend a variety of activities, but the city is filled with many places and sights in addition to our highlights. Please feel free to explore other activities that interest you. TripAdvisor.com can be a great tool to find additional activities, restaurants, and cafes.
Yes. We will have buses to & from Quinta de Sant'Ana. Please check back for specific details about where you will be picked up and dropped off in Lisbon on the day of the event.
Please make sure to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can let the venue know ahead of time and accommodate your needs.
Please reference the Schedule page. The dress code for the Welcome Event is dressy-casual attire. The dress code for the Ceremony & Reception is cocktail attire.
The weather is moderate at this time of year. The temperature ranges from 50-60 degrees. Make sure you check as we get closer to the date so you are well-prepared and packed appropriately. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, while dinner and dancing will be indoors. If it is on the cooler side, you may want to bring an extra layer to keep warm for the events taking place outside.
Lisbon is a metropolitan city where major mobile phone carriers work. That said, it will be important for you to double check with your carrier on associated costs with international calling, texting and data usage prior to arriving in Lisbon. There is also WiFi located in many of the hotels, cafes, and restaurants.
We recommend Uber or taxi. You can also check with your place of stay to see if they offer transportation upon your arrival.
Yes. If you plan to use Uber during your stay, please make sure you download the app to your phone before arriving in the city. Lisbon also has taxis and trams as a source of transportation. Please note - double check the credit card which is linked to your Uber account. There could be foreign transaction fees associated with each ride, though it may be minimal.
We do not believe you need a rental car if you are staying in Lisbon. Parking can be tough and expensive. There are various forms of transportation that will allow you to get around the city and to other neighboring locations if you wish. If you do think you'd like to rent a car, you should be able to find great information on Kayak.com.
The Euro is used in Portugal. We recommend you exchange your dollars at a bank or airport prior to arriving in Lisbon.
Most places in the city will accept credit cards. That said, please connect with your credit card company to see if there are any foreign transaction fees that you should be aware of prior to arriving to the city.
We recommend using Kayak.com to search for flights and/or hotels. You can set up price alerts to keep you up to date on the best deals.
Yes. If you already have a passport, double check that it is valid. If you do not have a passport, you will need to get one. It typically takes 4-6 weeks from start to finish. However, we recommend playing it safe and getting your passport as soon as possible. Please make sure that your passport does not expire within six months of your travel dates. If so, Portugal (and other countries) may not allow you to enter.
