We Are Getting Married!

The Short Story: They met in Alyssa's basement. The Long Story: They met through Dana, Alyssa's best friend from high school and Paige's college roommate. When Dana invited Paige to hang out over the summer it was to Alyssa's basement, and the couple met in person for the first time. This Wasn't Their First Interaction: They had talked on the phone when Alyssa had called Dana and was annoyed when Paige answered and wouldn't give Dana the phone. It Wasn't Love at First Sight: They became good friends when there was less social interaction due to COVID, and only started dating over 3 years after they first met. Love in the Time of Coronavirus: In fall 2021, Alyssa and Paige became even closer, hanging out extensively over winter break when Paige's friend Nathan got COVID. Then, in January 2022, they went to Chicago to visit Paige's friend Lindsay, and that was when their connection truly went from friends to more. After that, they talked every day, including Alyssa's whole drive from Michigan to Massachusetts. Alyssa convinced Paige to spend spring break with her in Northampton, MA, which not a typical spring break destination. That week, Alyssa and Paige finally got together.
