Meet the owens

DC or Marvel? This one question helped to launch us into forever. Upon meeting in Austin, there was an instant connection and a need to constantly be a part of each others' lives to support, love, and make each other laugh, even through the hardest of times that stemmed from the pandemic. After a series of dates, from food and games to movies and floating, I went to his place and officially asked him to go out. The rest is history! P.S. We still argue about DC or Marvel to this day!

We decided to go on our first solo couple's trip to Denver during our winter break. With a planned proposal in mind, Julien hoped everything could go smoothly. But it did not at all. After several delayed flights and layovers, we landed in Denver on December 27. Due to the long flight, we just decided to go to a local bar and get drinks to celebrate our arrival. Once we made it back to our hotel room, Julien thought to change the mood of the trip and start on a good note. After getting on one knee and professing his love to her, Nakia said, "Yes!" without hesitation. We are excited for you to celebrate with us in September. We hope to see you there!
