FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 pm. We ask that you arrive 15 - 20 minutes before to grab a seat and get settled in!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! Our dress code is semi-formal. Cocktail dresses or formal gowns, suits, and dressy jumpsuits are all welcome! No jeans or white dresses, please! All wedding events will take place indoors with plenty of air conditioning.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love all of our friend's and family's children and would love to have them be a part of our special day! However, due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate everyone's children. We will specify on your invitation if your children are invited and we are asking that children under the age of 1 year not be in attendance.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your invitation. If you have a plus one, we will list a "guest" on your envelope. Also, when you RSVP on our website, type in your name, and you will see if you have a plus one!

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony/reception?

Answer

In order to ensure we are fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones during the ceremony. We have hired amazing photographers to capture this special moment and would be happy to send you pictures upon request! During the reception, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking at the ceremony venue, First Baptist Church of Roanoke, and the lots will be clearly labeled with signs. There are several different areas to park at the reception venue, The Hotel Roanoke. You may park around the perimeter of the hotel; this street parking is free. There is also a paid parking lot by the hotel that has a shuttle bus to take you to the reception if walking is not accessible for some guests. The fee is $10 and will cover you the whole reception. If you have mobility issues or more concerns about parking, please contact the bride or groom for specific instructions. *WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING FROM THE CEREMONY TO RECEPTION*

Question

How and when do I RSVP?

Answer

Go to the RSVP tab on our wedding website and there will be instructions to follow. Make sure you input your name the same way it is listed on your invitation. If you have any trouble, please contact the bride or groom. Please RSVP by April 18, 2024!
