Question

What does parking look like?

Answer

There is street parking along South 8th St, Treadwell St, and W Gibson street. Across the street, facing the venue, there are two parking lots on either side of the building with limited parking (available on the weekend). If you are up for walking, you can park on the other side of South Lamar street, in a parking garage, closest to the Alamo Drafthouse located at 1120 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704 (where you will cross a street light). Ride-share options like Uber & Lyft is highly recommended.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that our guests plan to arrive 30-45 mins before ceremony start time of 4pm. That way you have time to find parking nearby and your seat.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

It will be both! Ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside (under nice shaded trees). The dance floor, kitchen, and seating areas to cool off will be inside with access to air conditioning. There are also three restrooms onsite.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal attire. Our theme is garden party and this is a summer wedding so please dress accordingly for the weather! We'd love to see our guests in pops of color like pink, orange, gold, and green etc.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited to accommodate budget and space limitations. Therefore, we ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Due to space restraints, we are only able to extend invites to the children of some of our family members, as noted on their invitations. We hope you understand.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes, we have a 10 room hotel block at Holiday Inn Express Austin South. When booking, ask for Llarena/Garza wedding from 6/30-7/2 stay. The hotel is within 10 minutes of the venue. You can book directly online in our Travel section. There are also plenty of other hotel options in the area (close to where we live + the venue) like the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Austin Marriott South, Hampton Inn Austin, etc. Booking an Airbnb house in south Austin with other family members or friends is also encouraged!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you on our wedding day! If you’d like to give us a gift, we would appreciate contributions toward our honeymoon & newlywed fund. You can find the link in our Registry section. A card box will also be available at the wedding, if you’d like to contribute in person instead.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We will have an unplugged ceremony where we ask our guests to put away or silence all of their devices (cell phones, cameras, etc.) for the duration of the ceremony. This will allow the focus to be on us the couple! Feel free to take photos and videos during cocktail hour and reception.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour between ceremony and reception where light bites, drinks, and music will be available. Dinner will immediately follow cocktail hour.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We are having Chuy's cater our wedding! Think Tex-Mex fajita taco bar, chips & queso, salsa, rice & beans, chicken flautas etc. And of course, their famous creamy jalapeño sauce. We go to Chuy's often for date nights, so we hope you enjoy their food as much as we do!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have a full bar on site from 5-9:30pm. Selection includes House Wines, Domestic + Craft Beers, House Spirits, and a Champagne Toast. Non alcoholic options will also be provided.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Reception will end at 10pm. The venue is located on a popular Austin street called South Lamar, with nearby bars in walking distance. We plan to head over to Gibson Street Bar afterwards and see where the night take us. You're welcome to come along!
