Ryan moved to Houston in January 2019 to start his new job at PwC. Natalie graduated from Baylor University December 2018 and moved home to Houston to start at PwC. They met the second day of work and quickly became acquaintances when they realized that they would be on the same team. About two weeks into the job, Ryan texted Natalie saying he had strained his back playing volleyball and wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to come into the office. Natalie normally would pass Ryan's apartment as she drove into work and would often see him walking to work in the muggy Houston weather. Natalie offered to pick Ryan up when she heard the news of his back. This was the first of many carpool drives. Each morning as Natalie would take the exit for downtown Houston, she would text Ryan that if he wanted a ride he needed to go stand on the corner. Most days Ryan was there waiting, other days he was still sleeping😂. Their schedules quickly became hectic and they found themselves in busy tax season. They worked at the office most nights until 8pm and some nights as late as 12:30am. Ryan always walked Natalie to her car to make sure she was safe, but also to snag a ride home as well 😉. They quickly became great friends and would often sit outside of Ryan's apartment talking about anything and everything. In May of 2019, Ryan was able to get second row tickets to the Astros game and invited Natalie and two other co-workers to go. They went to the baseball game and while the other two co-workers spent time visiting with other mutual friends, Ryan and Natalie talked for the entire game. This was also the night of a huge flood in Houston which resulted in work being cancelled the next day. While they didn’t have to go into the office for work, they decided to meet up and work together anyways. They quickly started finding every excuse to hang out or try new dinner places after work. Very quickly, Ryan and Natalie knew that they were both exactly what the other was looking for.
