Cool murals and lots of fun places to eat/drink, adjacent to downtown mall. Sawyer and Oona's favorites are Three Notch'd, Brazos Tacos, and JBird Supply Coffee. Also has a fun farmers' market on Saturdays.
Downtown Mall
Great downtown area to walk around and eat/drink/shop. Some favorites are Petit Mariebette, Grit Coffee, Mudhouse coffee, Bittersweet boutique, Darling x Dashing Boutique, Bebedero, The Fitzroy, and Citizen Burger. Humpback Rocks Trail
The humpback trail is a rite of passage hike for UVA students. Although it's a little steep to the top, the gorgeous views are worth it!
Walnut Creek Park
Sawyer's favorite place to disc golf (Oona is usually just along for the ride walking the dog). Great for disc golfing or just enjoying nature with great views!

Dairy Market Charlottesville
Upscale food-court environment with lots of different choices of food/drinks! Pizza, sandwiches, ice cream (Moo Thru is Sawyer and Oona's favorite), burgers, pasta, beer - you name it, they have it.

Cool speakeasy-style bar located in the basement of Tavern & Grocery (enter through the normal Tavern & Grocery entrance). Great for amazing cocktails!
