We Decided on Forever

We met at work when I was just 16 years old. Even way back then I knew Casey was someone special. Fast forward 4 years later when Casey decided to act on his feelings and ask me out on a date. Believe it or not, I turned him down! Good thing he was persistent, because you wouldn't be reading this now if he wasn't. -Shannon

Casey picked me up and we went to the Liberty Science Center. From there, we took a ferry over to the Statue of Liberty. It was too cold to get off the ferry boat so we stayed cozied up with each other while we sailed the Hudson! We stopped at a TGI Friday's on the way home because we didn't want the day to end. It must have went really well because he asked me out for a second date that same night.

Casey proposed at home with just the two of us in front of our Christmas tree while we were opening presents. Do you really think he would have had it any other way?
