Tyler and Kayla met at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on November the 13th, 2018. Tyler was a new hire at Norfolk General, and Kayla was assigned as his Ambassador to assist with onboarding him to the new job! Their first interaction was when Kayla gave him a tour of the office and introduced him to the team!

Through the Spring and Summer of 2020 Tyler and Kayla became close, talking daily and spending time together before Tyler’s big move to NYC to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy at NYU. We had beach trips and car dates (thanks to Covid!), lots of laughs, and getting to know each other. Tyler spent time with girls, who fell in love immediately. Its been a blessing seeing their relationship grow. This was the start of a 3 year long distance relationship.

Tyler and Kayla took the leap and became Facebook official December 26th, 2020! (Because its not real unless its facebook official, right? 😉)

The summer of 2021, wow. Tyler and Kayla spent the summer with family, traveling and enjoying all the quality time they could get! They made the most incredible memories with the girls, and roadtripped in 8 states, all the way to Maine! They vacationed in the Outerbanks, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and the Shennandoah Valley. The hiked, explored, plunged into freezing northern lakes, tried new foods, explored countless beaches up the east coast, saw the most amazing views, and rode every ride at Busch Gardens probably 100 times 😂. They made it through ER visits, car tragedies, and hard goodbyes as the summer ended. They new this love was a love like no other, they knew this love would last forever. ❤️

Tyler proposed to Kayla at the Gapstow Bridge, in Central Park, NYC! Kayla and Tyler started every visit of their long distance relationship in Central Park. They shared many long walks, picnics, and laughs throughout the park, so it was only fitting it become the location of a beatiful milestone in their relationship. Besides, how cool is it to get engaged in Central Park! 😍
