Join us on this walking tour of London’s East End, where we hear from the voices that were silenced by the Ripper and by history: his victims. We’ll meet these incredibly resilient women and their neighbours as we discover the district that created a monster. Meet your rebel guide outside Aldgate Underground Station.
Every year, markets pop up all over the city to spread festive joy and prepare you for the big day. Winter Wonderland is the most famous of them all; although it can get super busy, there are plenty of smaller markets that are well worth a visit, like Christmas by the River in London Bridge and Selfridges Christmas Market.
Many streets are lit with twinkling displays, but Oxford Street is the most famous, adorned with 5,000 dangling stars, made with 300,000 LED light bulbs and recycled plastic. The neighbouring Regent Street and St James’s displays are also pretty spectacular.
