We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We first met at O’reily’s Irish Pub one random Saturday in August. Through the fate of Tinder and a mutual friend, we decided to meet for a drink. From 8pm-3am we told stories of our past, plans for our future, memories with friends, and drunken stories we’ll never fully remember. Beleive it or not, we never stopped talking! From that point on, we started seeing each other more frequently and quickly became the couple you see today. Little did we know that the random saturday night we chose, would give us each a best friend and be the start to our future together. Nos conocimos en el pub irlandés O'Reily un sábado aleatorio de agosto. A través del destino de Tinder y un amigo en común, decidimos reunirnos para tomar una copa. A partir de las 8 p.m. a las 3 a.m. contamos historias de nuestro pasado, planes para nuestro futuro, recuerdos con amigos e historias de borrachos que nunca recordaremos por completo. Lo crea o no, ¡nunca dejamos de hablar! A partir de ese momento, comenzamos a vernos más a menudo y rápidamente nos convertimos en la pareja que ves hoy. Poco sabíamos que la noche del sábado al azar que elegimos nos daría a cada uno de nosotros un mejor amigo y sería el comienzo de nuestro futuro juntos.

We had talked about marriage a few times in the past. Throughout the years we had been together, we had already purchased our first home, became cat parents, and experienced highs and lows in our relationship. We ultimately decided marriage would happen when we were ready. We had plans to visit Tia and Tio for New Years but because of other things coming up, we pushed off going to visit (little did I know I was also pushing off my engagement). We finally made it out to visit on the evening of January 16, 2021. When it was time to leave, we jumped in the truck and started on our way home. After pulling out on the road, I mentioned to Omar that his headlight looked odd. Omar pulled over just a few yards away from the house to “look at the headlight” after a few seconds of pretending to fix it, he told me he wanted to show me something. It was in that moment that Omar pulled me out of the truck, got down on one knee, and asked if I would marry him. Hemos hablado del matrimonio varias veces en el pasado. A lo largo de los años que hemos estado juntos, ya compramos nuestra primera casa, nos convertimos en padres de gatos y experimentamos altibajos en nuestra relación. Finalmente, decidimos que el matrimonio sucedería cuando estuviéramos listos. Teníamos planes de visitar a Tia y Tio para Año Nuevo, pero debido a otras cosas por venir, pospusimos la visita (poco sabía que estaba posponiendo mi compromiso también). Finalmente llegamos a visitarnos la noche del 16 de enero de 2021. Cuando llegó el momento de partir, nos subimos a la camioneta y emprendimos el camino a casa. Después de salir a la carretera, le mencioné a Omar que su faro se veía extraño. Omar se detuvo a unos metros de la casa para "mirar la luz" después de unos segundos de fingir que la estaba arreglando, me dijo que quería mostrarme algo. Fue en ese momento que Omar me sacó de la camioneta, se arrodilló y me preguntó si quería casarme con él.
