Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All are welcome at the ceremony. However, only those (child or adult) who are explicitly named on the invitation will be admitted to the reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This is a formal attire event. Think more elegant than cocktail attire but not as extravagant as a black tie dress code (though we would seriously love to see you in tuxedos and luxurious ball gowns if you choose to wear them! 🤩). Our wedding colors are emerald/dark green, dark blue and gold. Feel free to use this as a guideline to your style choices! Please do not wear any colors traditionally reserved for the bride. Those colors are any white/off-white/ivory, champagne, creams, or light nude variations. That includes any dresses with patterns of any sort that are predominantly any of the aforementioned colors. Offenders will partake in our "red wine special" on the day of: 👰🏻‍♀️➡️🍷➡️💃🏻 😉 😂 For the ceremony: modesty is mandatory inside the church. Please refer to the "Ceremony Attire" section for exact details. Thank you in advance for respecting our most sacred space 🙏🏻💖 ✝️ ⛪️

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the church no later than 3:30 pm. Late arrivals will not be allowed.

Question

What's the best way to get there?

Answer

The church and reception are each in close proximity to several garages, though we highly discourage driving into the city as the date coincides with the New York City Marathon. Fun! For this reason, the use of public transportation is highly encouraged. The church is easily accessible from the 34th Street stations on the B/D/F/M lines, N/Q/R/W lines, and 1/2/3 lines. The reception venue is within walking distance from the Bowling Green station on the 4/5 line, the Whitehall Street station on the R line, and the South Ferry station on the 1 line.

Question

What is a "Tridentine Rite Nuptial Mass"? What do I do during one?

Answer

The Tridentine Mass is also known as the "Mass of the Ages". It is the way the mass has been celebrated for the majority of its 2,000-year history through to today. Though it has the same basic parts as the more commonly known Catholic mass celebrated in the current time, the entire mass is celebrated in Latin. Do not worry about understanding every little thing. Instead please use this time to pray for us, our marriage, and our future growing family while quietly in the pews. We also invite you to just enjoy the music and visuals of the ceremony, as the Tridentine mass is known for its beautiful sensory experience. "Monkey see monkey do" is also the name of the game🐒 Please just sit, stand, and kneel when you see others doing so. The couple will provide an explanatory pamphlet for all guests to look through and explain the details, but please do not let that get in the way of enjoying experiencing the ceremony.

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

There are currently no COVID restrictions in place for either the ceremony or venue spaces. Guests are welcome to take whatever safety precautions they feel are necessary, and we ask that everyone remains respectful towards each others' personal choices. If you are sick, although we will miss you we ask that you please stay home.

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

Please make your server aware of any food allergies you may have, so they may accommodate your needs to the best of their ability.
