We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met through the Resident Advisors program at La Salle University in 2013 and we bonded over defying the rules we were supposed to enforce. We worked together for 2 years before we even considered dating, another year later we decided it was meant to be when Rod was getting a haircut and the barber asked if we were a couple and we both said yes! We have been together ever since.

Ever since we moved to Seattle I have been dragging Rod on gorgeous hikes. One day, Rod asked me to go hiking which was very rare. He chose an extremely hard hike and was running up the mountain as we scrambled on roots and rocks. Usually he moseys up the mountain and I power walk. The peak was fantastic and Mt. Ranier was out in full. We were sitting admiring our favorite mountain when I jokingly said, what if I proposed to you right here? How mad would you be? He of course replied, "pretty mad" and we laughed it off. We started to head down the mountain when he pulled me to the side and got down on one knee. Little did I know as I joked about proposing, he was trying to propose to me right then and there! I of course said yes! It was our best hike yet!

We are looking forward to celebrating with our family and friends back on the east coast!
