Southern Social Hour
"Southern Social Hour" or tea time is served daily in the Great Hall from 3:00-4:00PM.
Golfing
The Homestead offers two courses: Golf Operations can be reached at Ext. 57620. The Old Course (recommended) is located on The Homestead grounds and is the nation's oldest first tee in continuous use. The Cascades is regarded as one of the finest mountain courses in the country. You will need to drive or ride the shuttle to this course. Reservations can be made online in advance and is strongly encouraged.
Tennis
Tennis is available from 7:30am - 5:00pm daily. There are 4 courts so reservations are strongly encouraged. Access to tennis is included in your resort fee. Check in at the Casino Pro Shop (located on the back lawn). Tennis shop can be reached at Ext. 57620.
Shooting Club
Shooting Club can be reached at Ext. 57787. Guns may be rented at the shooting club, or you are welcome to bring your own. Activities offered include sporting clays, 5-stand, trap or skeet. Skeet shooting books up quickly, so reservations are strongly encouraged in advance.
Homestead History Tour
Complimentary Homestead history tours are offered daily at 10:00AM
The Jefferson Pools
Newly renovated as the Warm Springs Bathhouses. The Homestead will provide shuttles to the Jefferson Pools. Please check with concierge to confirm departure times and hours of operation.
Virginia Wine Experience
If you know us, we love a good glass of wine! Open Wednesday - Sunday from 11:30AM - 7PM. Enjoy wine flights or wines by the glass, focusing solely on the wines of the Commonwealth. The Virginia Wine Experience wine room is located just outside the Main Dining Room.

Horse Back Riding
Some of our favorite childhood memories were spent at the stables. Whether you want to enjoy a scenic carriage ride, guided horseback ride, or want to just visit - all is welcome. Stables can be reached via shuttle or is a short walking distance from the resort. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
