The ceremony will be outdoors in a pine tree forest. The cocktail hour and reception will be a combination of outdoor and indoor. The sit-down dinner will be located underneath a pavilion with sliding barn doors. If it is chilly outside, the pavilion will reach around 65 degrees with the heaters on and barn doors closed. The dance portion of the reception is located primarily outdoors with a dance floor built off the pavilion. Please dress accordingly. Light blankets will be available for use, if needed.
Yes, there will be transportation to and from both hotels (Comfort Inn & AmericInn) provided by "Right Way Shuttle". Shuttle information will be posted at the front desk of each hotel and at the venue near the beverage stations.
Yes, there is a gravel parking lot at the venue near the main pavilion. Please follow the posted signs as you enter the venue property and only park in authorized areas.
Once you arrive to the venue, whether you are dropped off by the shuttle or drive in and park, you will all meet near the main pavilion in a gravel lot. There, you will be picked up and take a wagon ride (5-10 minutes) over to the location of the pine tree forest for the ceremony and then you will take a wagon ride back to the main pavilion for the cocktail hour and reception. You MUST arrive by 4:00 p.m. to be taken by wagon to the ceremony. You will NOT be allowed to drive into the venue after 4:00 p.m.
Short answer is no. We want you to be comfortable on our special day, however, we do ask that you do not wear jeans, sweatpants, sweatshirts, etc. Think business casual as a general rule of thumb.
That is a great question. It's Wisconsin, so it could be the type of day where you can fry an egg on the pavement or it could be a blizzard. Our guess is as good as yours. As mentioned, if it is cold outside, the pavilion can reach up to around 65 degrees F with the heaters on and doors closed. Our advice to you is to pack a parka, snowsuit, boots, blankets, light jacket, tank top, dress, shorts, sandals, handheld fan, sunglasses, umbrella, galoshes, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. Preparation is key, folks.
Well, isn't that [Ironic]. In the event of rain (moderate to heavy), we will have the ceremony under the main pavilion. This will require us to reconfigure the space between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner/reception, so please bear with us. If it is just a drizzle or light rain, we will continue to have the ceremony in the pine tree forest, so please come prepared. Umbrellas, ponchos, galoshes, yellow rain suits, and rain boots all welcome.
When Mackenzie was very sick in the hospital, Olivia randomly decided to book plane tickets to Calgary, Canada. Mackenzie's response to this exciting news was "Sounds fun", in a very monotone voice. When Mackenzie started feeling better, Olivia mentioned the trip again and Mackenzie's response was much different. She was ecstatic. This has been a trip Mackenzie has been wanting to take since they had met. Although, the trip was not originally planned as a honeymoon, the couple will be leaving the Sunday night following the wedding and will spend a week exploring Banff National Park in crisp autumn air.
We have two wonderful friends of ours who will be helping to coordinate our special day. Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to text or call them with questions/concerns on the day of the wedding. Ashley Merwin-Janke: (608) 963-3204 Elena Peterson: (715) 829-3371
