It was around the end of September in 2021 when we first started talking through some mutuals we had. At the time Jack was working in New Jersey so for almost two months we talked everyday on the phone. It was nothing too serious at first (especially since we had never met) but we definitely liked each other! He was flying home November 22nd for thanksgiving and his yearly hunting trip with his boys. We made plans to meet that night and I was so excited to finally talk to him in person. We were both so surprised by how comfortable we were with each other, there was not a single awkward silence between us. It felt like we had known each other our whole lives! We talked for hours and had our first date at Shaggy's on the Rez (now we live right across the water from it!). We literally talked every minute of the day after that first date. It was November 27th when we grabbed a late sonic snack that he told me he wasn't going back to NJ and that he wanted him and I to be official. To make a long story short, full of soooo many fun memories, we got serious about each other pretty quickly. Neither one of us had ever felt something more right. Needless to say, he never got back on that plane!

Jack had made plans for us to have a picnic by the reservoir and watch the sunset. Isn't he just precious? I set up my phone to take pictures, by his request, which I for sure thought was weird (y'all know how men are at initiating pictures with us) and when I turned around my absolute best friend was on his knee asking me to marry him. It was by far the easiest "yes" I've ever said.
