Hannah and Olivia met in Belgium and became fast friends. They shared an instant connection and have maintained a close friendship since then. Olivia was visiting Kingston to celebrate Hannah's birthday for the second year in a row when she met Dakota. Hannah credits herself as the reason Olivia is in Canada!

Cheyenne and Olivia grew up together. They played together exploring the woods and rode their bikes up and down the gravel road in a little bike gang with some of the other children in the neighborhood including Taylor, Talia, and Marina. This photo is actually from their high school prom. They are ride or die, baby! Chey said, "I called it," when we told her we were engaged! Unfortunately, Cheyenne will not be able to attend the ceremony due to unforeseen complications, but she and others that will not be able to attend will be there on a zoom call to witness the ceremony from a few thousand miles away!

Emily and Olivia met on Olivia's first trip to Canada. They became fast friends and Hannah, Olivia, and Emily share many fun memories together including from the night Olivia met Dakota!

Bethany and Olivia met while working together at Lowe's. They quickly bonded over their shared dietary restrictions. Their friendship has blossomed ever since!

Marina and Olivia were always mistaken as twins growing up, with how close they were who could blame them? They were thick as thieves and shared so many experiences together. Now, as adults, finding the balance between life and siblinghood can be tough, but they remain fiercely loyal.

Jocelyn and Olivia met through her work. Jocelyn was a student who came for a summer work program and, through their talks every day and their shared dedication to the program, a friendship blossomed. Even though both of them have moved on from that job, they continue to maintain a close friendship.

Cody and Dakota grew up playing minor hockey together and have been inseparable since their early teens. Hockey is always on the mind of these two; they grew up playing on the pond, road, or PlayStation, day and night. The King family has always been like a second family to Dakota.

Brandon and Dakota's friendship can be traced back to being babysat together as infants. Their bond began after a feud over one jolly rancher too little. Brandon and Dakota would often go biking around town throughout their childhood; always getting up to no good and coming home bruised and bloody, sometimes even before school…

Caelan became friends with Dakota shortly after he arrived in Petawawa. They were in the same troop together for years and enjoyed sharing their frustration with the management. Caelan and Dakota went to New York together and hope to travel more in the future.

Marshall and Dakota were pen pals in Grade 4. When Marshall came to St. John's in Grade 5 for French immersion their friendship grew from there. Marshall was always the goalie on an opposing hockey team, so there has always been a certain competitiveness in their friendship, whether it's darts, hockey, or just about anything.

Chad was the first person that Dakota became friends with in the Military. Having sat beside each other on the bus from the airport to the base, barely a word was said… the silence was when Dakota knew they would become great friends. Chad and Dakota continued their training together all the way to Petawawa where their friendship grew even stronger. Chad played a large role in Dakota’s choice to begin his Electrical Apprenticeship in Brantford.

David and Dakota became friends on their DP1 in Gagetown, New Brunswick. Both hailing from Lanark County, it was easy for them to get along, sharing the same quirky sense of humour. Amira, one of Dakota and Olivias' dogs, considers David to be one of her best friends.
