Do you have a hotel block and recommendations?

Answer

Yes, see our 'Travel' page. We have room blocks at the two hotels in Downtown Troy (Courtyard by Marriott Troy Waterfront and Best Western Plus Franklin Square Inn). Both are a very short walking distance (0.2mi) from our Reception venue. No Uber or Lyft needed after the party!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, there is not. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are easily accessible if needed.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered. Your presence is gift enough. However, if you feel so inclined, a gift toward our future would be greatly appreciated.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Mass will start promptly at 1:30pm.

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Please do not arrive early at Brown's. Our venue will open the doors for cocktail hour at 4:30pm, they do not accommodate guests earlier.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a parking garage, named East Parking Garage, across the street from the Cathedral, and some street parking. Downtown Troy, where Browns is located, does get busy on the weekends, so allow yourself time to find parking. If you are staying in one of the hotels we've blocked in Downtown Troy, we recommend parking your cars there after the ceremony and walking a short distance to the reception venue. Aside from street parking, several public parking lots surround the reception venue. There is a public open lot across from The River Street Market and limited public parking spaces are available in The River Street Market Lot. More public parking spaces may be available in the Green Island Parking Lot adjacent to Ryan's Wake. Half a mile walk from Brown's, there is more public parking available in the Y-Lot on 1st Street and in the State Street Parking Garage.
