We met during Brett's birthday at Charley B's in Lubbock. We were both there for a long time but didn't end up meeting until the end of the night. The evening ended abruptly when Chantry's brother Cory broke his leg (though everyone thought he was faking it until the next day when he had to go to the hospital in an ambulance)! After getting Cory home that night, several of us went to Whataburger and Chantry fell asleep on my shoulder. The next weekend, November 18th, 2016, I was making plans to hang out with Brett again, and had my fingers crossed he would invite Chantry as well. He did, and that night we got "pretend married"! We count that day as our date-iversary because from then on "it was just you and me baby" -Chantry. Chantry graduated the following spring and moved to Dallas, so before I graduated in the fall we were long-distance. Fast forward a year and some change and we moved in together in March of 2019. We lived in several apartments until deciding to build our first home together in August of 2020. Of course, at this point, the Covid-19 pandemic had been raging for several months. We were cooped up together 24/7, and couldn't be happier. After that, we knew we could make it through anything. We moved into our home January of 2021, made it through snowmageddon, and welcomed our sweet baby boy Henry on June 5, 2021. We've been living and loving our time as a tripod ever since, and Chantry FINALLY proposed on November 3, 2022!!!! JK, he tried to propose while I was pregnant but my raging hormones couldn't handle so many big events all at one time, haha! Now you know our story from day one to today and we can't wait to celebrate our 'Happily Ever After' with you!
