Longwood Gardens
Longwood Gardens is a great spot for people of all ages -- miles of walking trails, beautiful flowers, and numerous summertime events and concerts. We highly encourage guests to visit if you can find the time. If you only have one afternoon in Kennett Square, spend it here! Austin & Olivia have spent several date nights here, including our engagement photoshoot. Take a look at our photos and then go take some photos of your own -- this is a photographer's dream spot.
La Michoacana Homemade Ice Cream
Best ice cream shop (granted the prestigious Austin Arnold Seal of Approval)! If you are feeling adventurous, try the corn ice cream with chili on top. Less adventurous options include: coffee oreo, toasted coconut, banana peanut butter chocolate fudge, fudge brownie, and nutella.
Hank's Place - Kennett
Great spot for a classic breakfast! We took Austin's parents here when they visited. Be sure to get there early -- there's usually a line on weekends. Fresh coffee, fantastic avocado toast, delicious pancakes with REAL PA maple syrup (Olivia made me put this. I've never heard of "real homemade PA maple syrup", but I trust her that it exists. From personal experience, Vermont takes the cake. I've never heard of anyone intentionally visiting PA just to try their maple syrup, but people trek to VT every year for maple syrup and then send gallons home. If you have intentionally visited PA for their fresh homemade maple syrup and that only, please let me know) homemade corned beef hash and scrapple, what more could you ask for?
Talula's Table
Talula's Table is an amazing restaurant by night, requiring reservations many months in advance. By day, it is a great spot for baked goods or a gourmet lunch.

If you have a day to spend, we recommend canoeing down the Brandywine River. Austin & I spent a summer afternoon doing this during one of our first years of dating.

Brandywine Museum of Art
If it's a rainy day, this is your best bet! Andrew Wyeth grew up in Chester County so this museum, beautifully situated along the Brandywine River, highlights his work.
Barnard's Orchard
A 4th generation orchard -- perfect for apple picking in early September!
