Matron of Honor
Elizabeth is my exact opposite in every possible way. When I was playing with dolls, she was playing with Legos, when I was obsessed with makeup, she was obsessed with her CAD engineering software. She's always been the perfect balance to our family. Elizabeth, you are my sister but your selflessness, kind heartedness, and nerdiness is why I chose you as my MOH. It has been a blessing to have a sister like you to look up to.
Best Man
Jake was my right-hand man throughout college, making it only fitting he spend this day next to me. From long nights to slow mornings, Jake was always there for me - especially when I was looking for someone to go in on a Wings X order with me. A "lifelong" proponent of Olivia and me, he is my best man but is loved by us both. Jake, thanks for sharing this day with us and the loads of work you've put in to get us here.
Bridesmaid
Maddie Martin is one of my oldest friends. We met when were were 11 and spent our middle school years rollerblading around our neighborhood. She is practically a family member, and I'm pretty sure my parents prefer her over me. Maddie, I'm so lucky that we met all those years ago on the middle school bus. I'm thankful for our first memories together, building strange snowmen, and making popcorn in the middle of the night, and for all the memories since.
Groomsman
Brad and I got off to quite the rocky start back during our Freshman year of college. I first met him while he was cleaning some concrete with a garden hose - right next to the very expensive electronics and speakers, and the first words I ever spoke to Brad were, "You probably shouldn't do that..." Needless to say, we've came a long way since then as he's here today. Aside from his poor cleaning skills, Brad is truly one of the funniest people I've ever met. He's always ready to make you laugh or swallow a cup full of protein powder - either way the man just makes you smile. Thanks for always being the best Burt, and for being here today - I couldn't have imagined it another way. Much Love to you Bradley.
Bridesmaid
Madison is the Blair to my Serena. While she definitely hated me in middle school, our friendship grew in high school through our love of big cheer bows. I practically lived at her house during high school, sitting at her kitchen island every night. Madison is one of the most genuine, kind, fun, and welcoming people I've ever met, and I'm so lucky to have her standing by my side.
Groomsman
Ryan, better known as Molony, is not only another pledge brother but also hails from the illustrious Saint Xavier High School. We have been friends since the St. X days but our friendship grew while at IU. From living in Bryan to the Gopher House, Molony has been with me every step of the way. A famed corner specialist and president of an upper-lower-middle-tier fraternity, he's helped me keep my head on straight and eyes on the prize. I think you're next up dude.
Bridesmaid
Rachel was my sorority sister and two-time roommate in college. We have so many fun memories together - from themed fraternity parties, to waterlongs at Kilroys, to wine and cheese nights. Rachel is strong, real, and genuine. She has been by my side time and time again, and never fails to impress me with her loyalty and true friendship. She is my personal chef, my optometrist, my forever roommate. Rachel, you know how much you mean to me - I love you, and I'm blessed to have you in my life.
Groomsman
Ryan, better known as Perry, was one of my pledge brothers in college. Perry is genuinely one of the most caring and kind individuals that I've had the pleasure of knowing. Always ready to study, talk shop about the bears (he's from Colorado... riddle me that one), and be peer pressured into bad decisions. We made sure to link up in both London and Barcelona because he missed me that much. Perry, thanks for always being a lad's lad. Pints on you tonight, bruv.
Bridesmaid
Fate brought Lainey into my life when we were randomly selected as roommates half way around the world in Barcelona. I feel so incredibly lucky for IU's random roommate assignments. We shared the tiniest room and many silent meals with our homestay family since neither of us fully spoke Spanish, but we loved every minute. My personal favorite memory was teaching Lainey how to pronounce epitome; she thought it was epi-tome, which I will never let her live down. Lainey, thank you for being our townie friend, favorite third wheel, and someone I can always talk to. Love you to Barcelona and back!!
Groomsman
John Thomas, formally known as J.T., was (believe it or not) another pledge brother. Hailing from the great state of New Jersey, John brings the wittiness of the East Coast and a line-by-line memory of Goodfellas. One of the most reliable and genuine characters I've come to know, there isn't a thing under the sun I wouldn't trust J.T. to deliver on. An incredible lean-and-mean running back who caught more screens than the rest of the league combined - with enough YAC to be a true Yak. Enough of the kind words, now go get your shine box.
Bridesmaid
Abby and I are known by many as O'Labby because we are two halves of the same person. Our desks used to be next to each other so we were rarely seen without the other, and often confused for each other. Even though our friendship is long distance now, she is one of the most important people in my life. Abby, you are my friendship soulmate. You are intelligent, dog obsessed, and so beautiful. And I'm so happy that I finally have a friend that makes me look tall!!
Groomsman
Patrick Daniel Ducoffe is my favorite meaty ginger in the entire world. Ducoffe is a reliable friend whom I trust as much as anyone. He's also incredibly humble and giving - he once graciously let me rack up a pristine 33-3 record of NBA2K. Not many can handle a beating like that, but Pat is unlike anyone I've ever met. To be fair, he is a much better dancer and friend than I could ever hope to be. Thanks for being here today, love you brother.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa also came into my life through work. After many hours in meeting rooms together where we did anything but actual work - looking at her wedding photos, photos of her helping birth a calf (still confused by this one), venting about lifes struggles, online shopping, you get the point - a friendship bloomed. Alyssa, your fun and ambitious personality is contagious, and your love for other people is admirable. You inspire me to be a better person, and I'm so incredibly grateful for all of the guidance you give me daily. You are both beautiful inside and out. Love you so much - even though you went to Purdue.
Groomsman
My brother Peter is the most unique, extraordinary human being. He never shies away from being the truest version of himself at all times, and I envy his confidence. It has been incredible to watch Austin's "joking relationship" with my brother grow through the years. I can always tell when they've been hanging out too much because Austin will start saying "wig" and referencing various drag queens every other sentence.
Mother of the Bride
I am absolutely my mom's mini me. I tried to fight it for many years, but now I embrace it and am honored to be compared to such a strong, hardworking, independent woman. If I end up being half the mother and person she is, I will be so lucky. Thank you for not killing me during my rebellious teenage years and for sticking through them. I'm glad we both survived and have grown to be best friends.
Mother of the Groom
My mother is one of the strongest and determined woman I know. I will always give her credit for me seeking out another strong and determined woman because that is what I was raised around. She is a true role model in both personal and professional life (just not athletics). I once wrote a paper in the third grade about my hero. That hero was my mother, and that paper is still true to this day. Thank you for always being there, supporting me, and putting up with me. I may not thank you enough, but I don't think I ever could. But, thank you! Love you, Mom!
Father of the Bride
For those of you who don't know, I affectionately call my father Turtle Man. His contact in my phone is even the turtle emoji. This nickname partially comes from the fact that his bald head makes him look like a turtle but mostly comes from his love of Torch Lake. I can’t even count the number of turtles we’ve caught there over the years - all of which were, of course, named Speedy. My dad has taught me so much - how to catch turtles, how to make the best guacamole, how to efficiently shop at flea markets, the importance of family history, patience, and understanding. I'm thankful for every lesson learned, and for how our relationship has grown over the years. I'll always be a daddy's girl.
Father of the Groom
Just like Olivia, I have a nickname for my dad - Papa Doc. Taken from 8 Mile, which is just one of the many ways we would consume Eminem in some quality father-son bonding. From movies like these, to Notre Dame games, to throwing in the yard- my dad was always willing to do what it took to be there for me. A man I look up to (not literally anymore - he's shorter than me (this is where he thinks in his head "but I'm more handsome")) and a man I look like, thank you for being so great to me. Love you!
Flower Dog
Conrad is our wonderful devil dog. He began his life as a stray in Kentucky and is now living his best life. He enjoys long walks with lots of things to sniff, destroying fluffy toys, and snuggling on the couch (where he is not allowed). And does it get any cuter than his underbite smile? Conrad is a little too psychotic to actually take part in our big day so he is an honorary GroomsDog.
