The Gifted Cork is a must-do every time we visit. Each month they have a wine tasting based off a certain region in the world. They also are able to create a charcuterie plate for you while you shop around for a perfect bottle of wine.
Climb the lighthouse tower for the best view in town! View exhibits housed in four historic structures and the Maritime Education Center. Children can enjoy the Cracker’s and Eliza’s Club featuring a shipyard play area. See wooden boatbuilding in progress. Hands-on activities for all ages indoors and outdoors on the site. Enjoy the Schedule of Daily Demos about lighthouses, boat building and maritime archaeology. View shipwreck artifacts being conserved in the lab or take a walk on nature trails. We've never been.
St. Augustine Distillery give free tours daily. They make small batch whiskey, rum, gin, and vodka. Through out the tour they show you how to make a cocktail with each of their spirits that you get to taste. Connected to the Distillery is the Ice Plant Bar. They have great craft cocktails and offer happy hour from 2:30-5:00pm Monday-Friday’s. They do not take reservations or call ahead.
San Sebastián Winery offers wine made from Muscadine grapes. Vinifera wines are also produced to include Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon and are marketed along with blended and sparkling wines from native Muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are also produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. They offer complimentary Winery tours and wine tasting are offered 7 days a week (Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5p.m.)
One of our favorite things to do is just walk around. There is so much to do and discover in Downtown St. Augustine that sometimes just walking around is the best way to enjoy the city.
