On an exceptionally warm fall day. Chris and Lisa embarked on a trip to Burlington, VT. After giving up countless Saturdays to support Chris' questionable decision to make a rugby comeback, Lisa thought it would be a normal weekend trip concluding with the final game of the season. Lisa's parents were kind enough to dog-sit her 90 lb bundle of love with a head full of rocks, Mack. Mack is such a huge part of Lisa that Chris knew he would be the perfect excuse to get her to stop along the way to drop him off and ask a little question. This stop would be Gibbet Hill, overlooking Lisa's home town of Groton. Chris had been trying to plant the idea in Lisa's head that a picture of Mack and a bunch of cows would make the perfect Christmas card. Determined to "take the picture," Chris stopped his truck on the muddy bank of the hill. After seeing the conditions, Lisa quickly stated that they should do this on the ride home. However, there was no way Chris was lasting the entire ride to Vermont, never mind the entire weekend, with a little box he happened to have in his pocket. He got out of the truck, let Mack out and told Lisa "let's go". After telling Chris to go up without her, Lisa reluctantly got out of the truck and started following the boys up the hill while letting it be known how well her healed boots work in the mud. After reaching the top of the hill and finding more European tourists than cows, Chris told Lisa that just a picture of Mack and his Christmas bandanna will have to do. As Lisa was kneeling trying to put Mack's bandanna on, Chris told Lisa that he did not like it at all. It was now Chris' turn to kneel. He handed her a different one that said "my human's are getting married". Lisa stood up with a giant smile and shocked look on her face as Chris opened that little box with a ring inside. The rest is history and Mack was unimpressed by whole ordeal..until he finally happened to run into a cow on the way down.
