Our friendship began in college. ( 5th floor Cochran Towers) Atlanta, Georgia. From the very start we formed a bond that was both instant and unshakable , She became my closets confidant; sharing everything- Joys, tears, meals clothes and occasional debates about campus life and friendship. Even when life led us to different cities her ( NYC ) and Me ( Chicago) the distance only deepened our connection. The distance and gaps in our friendships couldn't changed what we had; Instead it brought us closer. From visits to celebratory milestones or simply to lay on a couch eating our favorite Utz chips. We have countless memories , she has always been more than a friend - She is my sister in every way that matters most. It is an honor to celebrate this incredible moment in her life, and there is truly nothing I wouldn't do for her.

"Two yn’s met in the towers of Norfolk State back in 2002. I, being an explorative guy from DC and Joe being a tall big guy from NY. I always called him to be my bodyguard due to his size and strength. Now... Joe had an attitude and sharpness back then, don’t get me wrong, but he always showed me love and respect. That was big for me due to me being an outsider to the Northern crew. Years flew and before we knew it we were bonded by bar fights, discussions, careers and similar mindsets. We traveled together, we were each other's safe space. And then boom the most tragic thing happened to me with being arrested and being sentenced to 10 years in prison. Joe never flinched, he went in his pockets to support me and answered when I called to talk about my dreams and visions upon getting out. We had surpassed the title of good friends to brothers. A bond never to be broken over any circumstances. There are people you grow up with since kids and there are those that you meet later in life.
