we're getting MARRIED!

One week after high school graduation Zach and I found ourselves at a mutual friend’s graduation party. We had never met or even heard of each other as we had gone to different schools- him at Cy Lakes and me at Seven Lakes. Now what I’m about to tell you is going to sound like something out of movie or maybe even a bit cheesy.. but I swear on everything, it’s exactly what happened. As everyone was mingling and hanging out, someone cracked a joke and we all started laughing, mid laugh I made eye contact with this handsome stranger.. and it took my breath away. I immediately thought to myself, “who is that”? (I later found out he thought and felt the exact same way thank GOODNESS). There was immediate chemistry, electric almost. Not just attraction but truly a deep connection to this person I had just met. I felt as though I had known him my whole life and once again, the feeling was mutual. That weekend was magical and we often reflect on it wishing we could go back and be flies on the wall watching our 18 year old selves begin to fall in love before we even knew it was happening. And that’s where it all began, Lake Livingston, one week after graduating high school, a connection neither of us had ever experienced before, 2 young kids who had no idea the journey they had just begun.
