Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Catherine Young and Norman Huynh
August is a magical month in Montana, with endless options for outdoor activities and events. Whether you're here for the weekend or taking a few extra days to explore, here are some of our favorite things to do & places to go in Bozeman, Livingston & beyond!
Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park

MT

Less than an hour from Copper Rose Ranch, Yellowstone National Park offers limitless opportunities for scenic drives, wildlife viewing, hiking and exploring. Check route and entrance information before your trip, then enjoy all that our country's first National Park has to offer!

Livingston

Livingston

MT

Although small, the historic train town of Livingston was revitalized by a thriving artist community and is a treat to explore. Downtown Livingston is home to more than 15 art galleries, and over 200 artisans live and work in the surrounding area. Livingston has two museums featuring train and regional history, an Art Deco movie theater, and a monthly Downtown Art Walk on the fourth Friday of the month - if you're nearby on August 25th, we highly recommend it! Enjoy unique boutique shopping with everything from antiques, handicrafts, records, handmade chocolate, gifts, vintage fashion, western wear, and regional artwork. Livingston is a foodie paradise with an impressive selection of farm-to-table restaurants and markets with vegan options, rustic steakhouses, vintage burger joints, traditional cafés, bakeries, plenty of coffee shops, bars and two local breweries.

Pine Creek Falls

Pine Creek Falls

Pine Creek Road, Livingston, MT 59047

Located in Paradise Valley just minutes away from our venue, this 2.5-mile out-and-back waterfall hike is considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 8 min to complete.

Chico Hot Springs

Chico Hot Springs

163 Chico Rd, Pray, MT 59065
, (406) 333-4933

Less than 15 minutes from the Copper Rose Ranch, Chico Hot Springs is one of our favorite stops for a healing soak or spa treatment. Established in 1900 and currently on the National Historic Register, Chico is a year-round destination offering natural hot springs pool, lodging, fine dining, saloon, gift shop, day spa, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, river rafting, dog sledding and cross country skiing.

Hyalite Reservoir

Hyalite Reservoir

Bozeman, MT

45 minutes from Bozeman, Hyalite Reservoir is located 10.5 miles up Hyalite Canyon and is an incredible spot to sit by the water, hike, camp, fish or picnic. Worth the drive!

Bozeman Hot Springs

Bozeman Hot Springs

81123 Gallatin Road, Bozeman, MT 59718

Bozeman Hot Springs is one of our favorite spots for a relaxing soak. With 12 different pools with temperatures ranging from 59 to 106 degrees (indoor and outdoor), and both dry and wet saunas, it's the perfect way to end a day spent exploring, hiking, or road tripping.
