We're Getting Married!!

Austin and I originally met when his family moved to South Florida right before our junior year of high school. We never talked but our parents became great friends. When I decided I would be going to Samford University in Birmingham, our parents talked about him driving me to church and that's what ended up happening. That first semester we didn't talk much, but over Christmas break we started texting and that's when the spark was lit. He asked me out when I got back to Samford for the Spring semester but because of my busy schedule, I made him wait for a month before we finally went to the Birmingham Zoo for our first date.

We went back to where we had our first date, the Birmingham Zoo, with his cousin. I knew from the minute we got there that something was going on because Austin was acting really strange. After walking around and looking at some of the animals, we made our way to the Christmas tree that was up to take some pictures. Halfway through, I felt him move away from me and when I looked over he was down on one knee. I couldn't get any words out because I was crying so much, but I nodded and he put the most beautiful ring on my finger!!
